Great match on new pitch just laid down last week in Pembroke.

All goals on both sides came from penalty corners. Our esteemed ref Mary C was on a roll and everyone’s feet were in the way. They managed to execute theirs more effectively than ourselves. So we know what to work on next training session.  Refereeing was a little lopsided with one super ref ( see above ) and the other needing a little guidance.

Open play really went the way of Clontarf and we had the better of them. There were a few visual distractions on their side with the few funky team kit variations, but that just made us more determined to stay focused. We were unable to put the goal in the back of the net unfortunately despite the frequent opportunities and dives in circle by Triona.  Alice had her first match with Clontarf and played a blinder.  Well done. Heads up to our other newbies, welcome and we look forward to a fun and goal scoring season.
